Avşa Island sits in the southern Sea of Marmara and is easily reached from both Istanbul and the Thracian coast. Sailings are frequent in summer and more limited but still regular in winter. All services depart from harbours on the mainland; on the island itself you can use taxis or minibuses from the jetty.

Drive to Erdek or Tekirdağ, then board a vehicle ferry to the island.
Avşa Island lies at roughly 40°30′ N, 27°29′ E in the southern Sea of Marmara, near the Bay of Erdek.
